We decided to make our first stop in Kyoto would be Kinkaku-ji. We got off the bus a bit early and walked through (got lost in) some suburbs. Getting lost in suburbs in Kyoto is very fun, you get a much better feel for how the people live.
Early in our journey we came upon a childrens playground at the bottom of a small valley that was near an aquaduct. There were two people cleaning the playground, we waited for them to move and went down and took pictures from the bottom of the little valley.
This garden was just to the side of the playground. Those fruit and flowers grew everywhere in Kyoto in the fall. Makes for a messy photo, but the actual scene was just too gorgeous not to share.
